Pages are credited to the team as a whole.
How we work
We read primary sources (FMI climate statistics and aurora pages, the national rail timetable data, VR, Finavia and town tourism sites) and store each figure with its source and the date we read it. When sources disagree, as they do on Rovaniemi’s polar night, we show both. Where no primary source gives a figure, such as current train fares, we leave the gap. The team checks every page before it goes live.
Wikipedia and Wikivoyage were used only to find leads.
All sources are on the sources page; photographers and licences are on image credits.
